Diplomas

Diplomas are not distributed at the Commencement Ceremony. Students will receive a letter from the Office of the President as they cross the stage.

Official diplomas will be made available for collection at the Records Office from a few days after Commencement weekend. You will receive your diploma upon financial clearance from the Ministry of Education and/or the University.

Honours

Undergraduate academic honours will be announced with students’ names as they cross the stage. Cum Laude honours are a cumulative GPA of 3.50-3.74, Magna Cum Laude is a cumulative GPA of 3.75-3.89, and Summa Cum Laude is a final average of 3.90 or better. Graduate students do not receive academic honours.

Important note

Documents and written pronouncement of academic honours designation and completion are only final and valid when they bear the official stamp, seal and signature of the President of the University of the Southern Caribbean and the President of the Board of Trustees.
