The University of the Southern Caribbean (USC) is set to launch its Centennial Celebrations with a grand musical event on Saturday, March 22, 2025, at 5:30 PM in the USC Auditorium, Main Campus, Royal Road, Maracas Valley, St. Joseph, Trinidad. This historic occasion will also be streamed live via USC’s official YouTube channel at youtube.com/@UOSC. 

Themed “Journey to 100: Excellence in Motion”, this celebration will mark the beginning of USC’s countdown to its 100th anniversary in August 2027. The evening will feature musical performances from alumni spanning generations from 1927 to present day, honoring USC’s rich history while looking toward a future of continued academic and institutional excellence. 

“Journey to 100: Excellence in Motion”, symbolizes the growth of USC - from its humble beginnings as a faith-based educational institution to its current status as a globally recognized university dedicated to preparing students for meaningful impact in their communities and professions. The journey represents perseverance, adaptability, and a steadfast commitment to cultivating excellence in academia, faith-based education, and community service.
At the same time, “Excellence in Motion” highlights USC’s forward-thinking vision. As the university embraces innovation in academia, community outreach, and global partnerships, it continues to shape future generations of leaders. This launch event marks the beginning of an exciting chapter, commemorating a century of excellence
and a future of promise!

Before the evening’s festivities, USC invites attendees to a special Sabbath service at 9:00 AM in the USC Auditorium. The featured speaker will be Dr. Elie Henry, President of the Inter-American Division (IAD) of the Seventh-day Adventist Church. This worship experience will set the tone for a day of reflection, fellowship, and celebration.
