The countdown is on! In less than a year, the University of the Southern Caribbean (USC) will welcome alumni, students, faculty, staff, and friends for a historic Centennial Homecoming; August 20–29, 2027.

This milestone will be a celebration of shared memories, and an opportunity to honour the legacy of an institution that has transformed countless lives through Christian education.

And whether you are already making plans to return to Maracas Valley or are still considering the journey, there is one place you should visit first: usc100.usc.edu.tt.

A Digital Gateway to the Centennial

On August 28–29, 2026, USC hosted its Founders’ Weekend celebrations, commemorating the University’s 99th anniversary and officially ushering in its 100th year.

A key highlight of the weekend was the virtual Centennial Celebration Showcase, held on August 29, 2026. The event offered the USC community an exciting preview of the celebrations and initiatives that will define this historic chapter, culminating in the official launch of the Centennial website: usc100.usc.edu.tt.

If you missed the Centennial Celebration Showcase, we invite you to revisit this special occasion and share in the anticipation of what lies ahead.

Among the first features to greet visitors to the website is a countdown clock, marking the days remaining until August 20, 2027, when Centennial Homecoming officially begins.

Designed with the USC family in mind, this website is your one-stop destination for all things Centennial: a central hub where you can stay informed, plan your Homecoming experience, explore upcoming activities, and discover opportunities to participate in this once-in-a-century celebration.

Planning Your Return to Maracas Valley?

For our alumni across the world, we know that returning home requires planning. That is why USC has been working with selected hotels, guesthouses, and other providers to establish Centennial Accommodation Partnerships, offering Homecoming attendees access to special arrangements, which may include preferred rates, discounted packages, and other benefits.

Through the website’s Plan Your Stay section, you can explore these accommodation options and access the relevant booking information.

USC has also engaged Centennial Transportation Partners to make travelling around Trinidad more convenient. Whether you need a rental vehicle for your stay, airport transportation, or an option suitable for your family or group, the website provides information about participating providers and their Centennial offerings.

And while you are home, why not rediscover Trinidad?

Through our Centennial Tour Partners, you can explore opportunities to visit some of the island’s most memorable destinations, enjoy local cuisine, experience our rich cultural heritage, and create new memories with family and friends.

Perhaps it has been years since you last visited Maracas Beach, explored the Caroni Bird Sanctuary, or enjoyed the familiar sights, sounds, and flavours of Trinidad. Centennial Homecoming presents the perfect opportunity to experience them again.

Ten Days of Celebration. A Lifetime of Memories.

What would a Centennial Homecoming be without opportunities to reconnect, worship, and create new memories?

The Centennial website’s Activities section provides access to the calendar of events, including activities leading up to the Centennial and those scheduled during Homecoming itself.

As plans are finalised and additional information becomes available, this section will serve as a central reference point for programme updates and event details.

Don’t Just Attend the Centennial. Help Shape It!

For those who would like to contribute beyond attending the festivities, opportunities are available to become a Centennial Volunteer.

Lend your time and expertise to the various areas including hospitality, transportation, and logistics to fundraising, music, cultural activities, communications, and more.

Whether you live in Trinidad or abroad, your experience, ideas, and willingness to serve may help shape an unforgettable Centennial experience.
