Student ministries aim to promote spiritual growth by offering group ministry outlets which are avenues of authentic spiritual growth. These student led groups meet for fellowship and discussion to encourage growth around the area of interest.
Opportunities for ministry
-
Visits and engagements at institutions ministering to the disabled, physically challenged and orphans.
-
Getting involved in community cleanup campaign and building projects.
-
Support and outreach to those whose choices have stunted their academic and social growth.
-
Support and encourage within small groups the prayerful making of wise choices for life.
-
Ministry outreach using social media platforms.
-
Prayer and faith building groups.
Student mentoring
In addition to small groups, student ministries seeks to connect and encourage students in the pursuit of mentoring relationships among their peers.
Chaplaincy support
Outside of the above mentioned opportunities, student deans continue to seek creative ways to foster spiritual growth and ministry opportunities around the campus, in collaboration with students. Here are some of the ways:
-
Sharing small scripture nuggets to those traversing campus.
-
Inspirational radio programming where uplifting gospel music is played from La Realista.
-
Encouraging and providing other opportunities for students church ministry. Many students with musical and singing gifts find an avenue for ministry development while here.
