USC’s Scholarship Committee is pleased to announce the Scholarship Application for the academic year 2024/2025 will be from Monday, December 2nd, 2024 to Monday, February 10th, 2025.

Named Scholarships 2024/2025
The University of the Southern Caribbean Alumni Association, North America (USCAANA) (Semester II)
The University of the Southern Caribbean Alumni Association, North America (USCAANA) Scholarships are awarded competitively among sophomore, juniors and seniors students of the University of the Southern Caribbean based on the applicant’s academic achievements, financial need, and high determination for achievement of goals. This scholarship awards USD$1,000.00.
Scholarship criteria is as follows:
- A minimum cumulative 3.0 GPA
- There must be a demonstrated need
- Applicants must be enrolled for a minimum of 12 credits in the semester the scholarship is being awarded
- Students must be of good character and maintain good citizenship
- Demonstrate leadership ability, and engage in campus ministries activities
Application requirements:
- Two letters of reference.
- A page long personal letter explaining their financial need for a scholarship.
- Submit an official copy of their GPA.
Ingrid Tom-Phillips Scholarship (Semester II)
The Ingrid Denise Tom-Phillips Scholarship will aid in the education of female students who are majoring in a concentration from the School of Business Administration at the University of the Southern Caribbean, Maracas Valley , Republic of Trinidad and Tobago. the Tom-Phillips Scholarship will be offered once per academic year to assist one (1) deserving female student with origins in the Republics of Trinidad and Tobago or Barbados.
This scholarship awards an amount of USD$1,000
Scholarship criteria is as follows:
- Must be enrolled in their sophomore (or greater) year of study at USC
- Must be enrolled in the University's School of Business Administration
- Must be enrolled for a minimum of 12 credits during the semester they will apply scholarship funds
- Must be a female student with origins in Trinidad and Tobago or Barbados
- Minimum GPA of 3.25
Application requirements:
- Two Letters of reference
- A page long personal letter explaining their financial need for a scholarship
- Submit an official copy of their GPA.
Samuel & Pauline Dey Scholarship (Semester I & II)
The Samuel and Pauline Dey Scholarship will be offered once per academic year, and is available to students who are academic qualified, show financial need, portray strong Christian values and high determination for achievement of goals and are enrolled as a student at USC. This scholarship awards an amount of USD$2,500.
Scholarship criteria is as follows:
- A minimum cumulative 3.0 GPA
- Applicants must be enrolled for a minimum of 12 credits in the semester the
- scholarship is being awarded
- Must be matriculating in one of the four programs: BS Nursing (4-yr program), BEd Primary Education, BS Accounting, AS Premedical Studies
- Dedicated Christian
- Conscientious, dependable, diligent and determined
- Show financial need.
- Goal Oriented.
- Must be enrolled in the USC’s work/study program
Application requirements:
- Two Letters of reference
- A page long personal letter explaining their financial need for a scholarship
- Submit an official copy of their GPA.
The Scholarship Committee of the University of the Southern Caribbean will make recommendations for scholarships based on the following factors:
- Academic record
- Letters of reference
- Personal Letter
- Extra-curricular and volunteer activities
- Work-experience (if applicable)
The Teacher Excellence Scholarship
The Teacher Excellence Scholarship will be offered once per academic year, and is available to students from the School of Education and Humanities, in the Department of Teacher Education, who are academically qualified, show financial need and a high determination for achievement of goals, and are enrolled as a student at USC. The scholarship awards an amount of USD$1,000.00.
Scholarship criteria is as follows:
- Have a minimum cumulative 3.0 GPA and must have earned a minimum of 32 credits.
- Be registered in the semester the scholarship will be awarded, for a minimum of 12 credits.
- Conscientious, dependable, diligent and determined.
- Have a financial need.
- Goal Oriented.
- Must be a student in the Department of Teacher Education
Application requirements:
- Two letters of reference.
- A page long personal letter explaining their financial need for a scholarship.
- Submit an official copy of their GPA.
The North American Alumni - Southern California Chapter Occupational Therapy Scholarship (Semester I & II)
The North American Alumni - Southern California Chapter Occupational Therapy Scholarship- The Master of Science in Occupational Therapy (MSOT) scholarship fund is established to provide scholarships for the occupational therapy students at the University of the Southern Caribbean. This semester both MOST and Undergraduate students have the opportunity to benefit from a fund of $5,000USD. Scholarship would be awarded based on merit and need.
Scholarship criteria is as follows:
- Completed a minimum of 2 semesters in the USC Master of Science in Occupational Therapy program.
- Any Undergraduate Student.
- Good academic standing (above G.P.A 3.0).
- Active TTOTA member.
- Demonstrated leadership within the program.
- Documented community service.
Application requirements:
- A completed MSOT Scholarship Application form.
- Maintain minimum class attendance as stipulated in the USC Student Handbook.
- Maintain full-time enrollment for the academic year (extenuating circumstances to be considered on a case-by-case basis)
- Maintain a minimum of a 3.0 GPA
- Upload academic integrity as defined in the USC Student Handbook
- Complete payments of the previous semester's balance prior to extension of the scholarship for the subsequent semester.
The North American Alumni - Southern California Chapter Music Scholarship
The North American Alumni - Southern California Chapter Music Scholarship - The North American Alumni - Southern California Chapter Music Scholarship fund is established to provide scholarships for any undergraduate music student at the University of the Southern Caribbean. This semester all undergraduate music students have the opportunity to benefit from a fund of $5,000USD. Scholarships would be awarded based on merit and need.
Scholarship criteria is as follows:
- Must be a registered student.
- Good academic standing (above G.P.A 3.0).
- Maintain full-time enrollment for the academic year (extenuating circumstances to be considered on a case-by-case basis)
- Maintain a minimum of a 3.0 GPA
- Demonstrated leadership within the program.
- Documented community service.
Requirements of Maintaining Scholarship Eligibility:
- Maintain minimum class attendance as stipulated in the USC Student Handbook.
- Maintain full-time enrollment for the academic year (extenuating circumstances to be considered on a case-by-case basis).
- Maintain a minimum of a 3.0 GPA
- Demonstrated leadership within the program.
- Complete payments of the previous semester's balance prior to extension of the scholarship for the subsequent semester.
- Uphold academic integrity as defined in the USC Student Handbook.
- Documented community service.
The Phyllis Andrews Scholarship for Entrepreneurship and Innovation (Semester II)
The Phyllis Andrews Scholarship for Entrepreneurship and Innovation will be offered once per academic year, and will be awarded completely among students of USC based on the applicants academic achievements, financial need, demonstrates Christian values and integrity along with a determination to achieve goals. Three scholarships will be awarded once per year in the second semester of the academic year in the amount of Seven Hundred and Fifty dollars (USD$750).
Scholarship criteria is as follows:
- Be a national of Grenada, St. Vincent and Grenadines, St. Lucia or Guyana embodying the vibrant culture and resilient spirit of these regions.
- Maintain a minimum cumulative 2.75 GPA.
- Applicants must be enrolled for a minimum of 12 credits in the semester the scholarship is being awarded.
- Conscientious, dependable, diligent and determined.
- Show financial need.
- Goal Oriented.
- Must be enrolled in the USC’s work/study program.
