About Us

The Antigua Campus one of six extension campuses of the USC, commenced its offering of tertiary education in 2007. From this beginning, our student population and offerings continue to grow. The University of the Southern Caribbean seeks to transform ordinary people into extraordinary servants of God to humanity.

The institution is fully recognized and supported as a tertiary level educational institution in the island state of Antigua and Barbuda. It is also recognized as a teacher training institution. Our academic programs, student services and online learning experience are designed to fit the lives and needs of those desirous of pursuing their education while working full-time and experience home and family life.

Programmes

A university degree from USC can help prepare you for career success. The following programs are offered at USC Antigua:

  • Bachelor of Science in Family & Consumer Sciences

  • Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education

  • Bachelor of Science in Educational Studies: Special Education

  • Bachelor of Science in Educational Studies: Math and Science (STEM Program)

  • Bachelor of Science in Criminology

  • Bachelor of Science  in Social Work

Students can pursue up to the first two (2) years for any degree program not being fully offered at the site and then transfer to the main campus in Trinidad.

Staff

Once students are financially cleared (this includes GATE clearance), Diplomas will be available from Wednesday, July 31, 2019.*Letters of completion may be requested in during the interim, providing that all grades have been submitted.

Our instructional staff is a strong team of experienced and qualified professionals, with average minimal qualifications at the Master's Degree level.

Students

We offer a three (3) semester academic year, two full semesters and a summer semester

Fees

  • General Fee - $117US
  • Tuition per credit- $125US
  • Summer General Registration fee -  $95US

Requirements for admission are as follows:

Regular admission

  • Five (5) O’level  GCE or CSEC passes
  • Three (3) O’level GCE or CSEC passes & two (2) A’level passes

Adult admission

  • Three (3) O’level  GCE or CSEC passes (Conditions Apply)

Specific Requirements for admission are as follows

  • Bachelor of  Science in Elementary Education -  Five O-level GCE/CSEC passes, including English Language, Mathematics and a Science subject
  • Bachelor of Science in Family & Consumer Sciences and  Educational Studies - Five (5) O’Level passes
  • An Associate Degree in Teacher Training
  • School of Social Sciences - five O-level GCE/CSEC passes, including English Language
