USC Balance Breakthrough: Centennial Amnesty Initiative

As part of our centennial celebration — Journey to 100: Excellence in Motion — the University of the Southern Caribbean (USC) is proud to introduce the Balance Breakthrough initiative.

This Centennial Amnesty Initiative offers alumni, withdrawn, and current students with outstanding financial balances a unique opportunity to clear their accounts, complete their USC journey, and unlock their academic and professional potential.

Amnesty Period: October 23, 2025 – May 15, 2026

During this period, eligible participants can take advantage of a one-time financial amnesty designed to help them settle outstanding balances and move forward.

The Amnesty Offer

  • USC will apply a 40% scholarship toward your outstanding balance.
  • You are responsible for paying the remaining 60% within the amnesty period.
  • Payment plan options are available through the Office of Student Finance.

 

Who Is Eligible

You may qualify for this amnesty if you meet any of the following criteria:
  • You registered for Semester II of the 2024–2025 academic year, but have not been able to register since then due an outstanding balance.
  • You have officially withdrawn from USC and currently have an outstanding balance.
  • You are a USC alumnus/alumna who has completed your program but have not received your diploma due to unpaid fees.

If you are currently registered for Semester I of the 2025–2026 academic year, you are not eligible for this Balance Breakthrough Amnesty Initiative.

 

Important Deadlines for Returning Students

If you wish to resume studies in January 2026 (Semester II of the 2025–2026 academic year), you must bring your account to a zero balance by January 19, 2026. If you are unable to clear your balance by that date, you must settle your account in full by May 15, 2026 to resume studies in September 2026 (Semester I of the 2026–2027 academic year).

All payments must be made through approved USC channels.

Available through AEORION.

AEORION Account Requirement

All participants of the Balance Breakthrough Centennial Amnesty Initiative must have an AEORION account to complete online payments and access student financial records.

Once your request is received, a Student Finance Advisor will:

  • Review your student account
  • Apply the 40% amnesty scholarship
  • Confirm your discounted outstanding balance
  • Provide your payment plan
