Public Relations Officer:

Name: Nethaneel Ramsey
Major: BBA Hospitality & Tourism Management

My name is Nethaneel Shanice Ramsey, however most people call me Netty. I am the youngest of five girls and cherish family life greatly. Fun facts about me are that I love food, I love cats, I love to travel, I love meeting new people and I adore meaningful friendships. I have completed my Associates Degree in Culinary Management at TTHTI as my dream was to become an International Chef however, that idea quickly dwindled overtime. I am now majoring in Hospitality and Tourism at USC. This major is a broad field of study that requires someone who enjoys interacting with people, different cultures and the ability to adapt to changes. I am that person. Don’t get me wrong, my love for food still outweighs everything else but my love for people came from an Internship period that I completed in the Courtyard by Marriott, Port of Spain, where I was exposed to service and how to serve well. In the future, I have hopes of either becoming a Communications manager for a company or Public relations Officer. I am still uncertain as to where life will take me but I am ready for it all. I also work well in groups and believe that human beings are interesting creatures.

Name: Melicke Bethelmy
Major: BS Psychology

This version of me was not built overnight. This is experience. This is pain. This is abuse. This is a different level of trauma involving anxiety, fear and insecurities. I had to go through so much to get to where I am at now. If you knew my whole story, you would be proud of me. My story is filled with broken pieces, bad decisions and some ugly truths. However, it is also filled with a major comeback, peace in my soul and grace that saved my life. The mindset that I have developed, the ambition that I have, and the change that I am working on is something that I am already proud of. I see myself as a social media influencer, an advocate for mental health and an optimist, contributing to society in ways that are beyond ordinary. My goal in life is to be someone you see and suddenly you feel warm inside. You want to be close to me and you hope some of my light transfers onto you. I believe to be safe around someone’s energy is a totally different kind of intimacy. I ask myself, “How can I do better?” “How can I be better?” “How can I love better?” I just want to be great in all aspects. I have dug my way out of the dark and fought to be where I am today. All we get are time and choices. I want to be remembered for my kindness, for showing up, for giving second chances, for acknowledging my own toxic traits and for loving selflessly. Who am I? I am a living soul who experienced a peace so sweet, so deep, it would be impossible to express it. P.T Barnum said, “The noblest art is that of making others happy.” I want to be living proof of his word.

My hobbies include writing, engaging in physical activity, learning a new language and sometimes music. My career goal is to become a family counselor to help in any way help "broken" people which can thus repair "broken" homes.
