Student Accommodation

Living in one of the residence halls at the University of the Southern Caribbean is an experience you will remember and contributes to our students' total learning and personal growth. It provides a unique opportunity for students to participate in campus life to the fullest.

The University is responsible under immigration regulations, for housing all international students who come to Trinidad to pursue studies. While we are restricted in the number of spaces available in our Residence Halls at the moment, we fully embrace this responsibility and alternative arrangements can be made at the University’s discretion. 

The following is pertinent information on student housing:

  • Female Residence Halls: Linda Austin Hall and Annex
    Location: South campus beyond the Food Services (Cafeteria) building.
    Available to: Female Students
    Living Arrangement: Two to four students per room

  • Male Residence Hall: Cedar Hall
    Location: Central campus between the Science Complex and the Library
    Available to: Male students
    Living Arrangement: Two to three students per room

  • Ladies’ Extension Residence Hall: Mountain View
    Location: Above the river, at the back of Linda Austin Hall.
    Available to: Adult female students
    Living Arrangement: Two to four students per room

  • Men’s Extension Residence Hall: Mountain View
    Location: Across the river, at the back of Linda Austin Hall
    Available to: Adult male students
    Living Arrangement: Two to four students per room

  • Married Students Complex
    The University owns and operates a married students’ complex apartment building, which houses twelve families. If your family will accompany you to the University, application for an apartment can be made to the Department of Student Development and Services prior to your coming. It will be advisable to contact the office for final arrangements before travelling.
    Location: North Campus beyond the Secondary School.
    Available to: Married students and their families
    Living Arrangement: Semi furnished - two-bedroom Apartment
