The University operates a Health Services Centre for its students, where basic health care is provided.More serious cases are referred to the Community Hospital of Seventh-day Adventists.

Health Insurance
All University students are required to participate in the school’s medical insurance policy, unless they can provide written evidence that they already have similar coverage. Full details about the Health Insurance Policy can be obtained from the Student Insurance Office.

Counseling Services
Our Counseling Department provides an array of services designed to enhance the student’s personal, academic and career development. These services include: services to new students, educational planning, academic advisement, personal and career counseling, outreach programs, and student advocacy and counseling for special groups. The office can also assist with premarital and post-marital situations. Students are invited to visit the Counseling Office for specific services that meet their needs. Pastoral counseling by a group of ordained pastors is also available.

Student Safety
University of the Southern Caribbean expects students to develop safe working habits. Students are also required to respond to any emergency fire and disaster drill announcements, or any campus wide announcement requesting the immediate evacuation of any building. Students are also expected to comply with directives regarding security and safety given by campus security personnel.
