DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES - Posting of cheque vouchers, journal vouchers, student vouchers and cash vouchers on a daily basis
- Organizing and filing all vouchers posted
- Printing of monthly reports of posted transactions
- Verifying and reconciling posting when necessary
- Understudying the Junior Accountant-Payroll
QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE - A Diploma or Certificate in business, with course work in accounting from an accredited institution, with at least three (3) to five (5) years of experience in the related field is required
OTHER REQUIREMENTS - Personable, discreet, team player, highly motivated, and customer oriented
- Knowledgeable in Word, Excel, Windows and accounting programmes
- Must be proficient in writing and speaking the English Language
- Must be able to communicate effectively with all level of management, employees and customers with the highest degree of personal integrity
- Integrity, dependability, and conscientiousness is required
- Appropriate and professional appearance and demeanor required
- Committed to high spiritual, moral and ethical standards of the University of the Southern Caribbean
