QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE
- A doctoral degree in Natural Science, or related field from an accredited institution
- At least five (5) years of experience in administration at a tertiary institution
- Knowledge in admission and registration procedures for colleges/universities, nationally and internationally
- Experience in managing staff of ten or more persons
- Must have a history of publication(s)
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Establishing appropriate management in all departments
- Recommending new programmes or programme changes
- Recommending eligible persons to Vice President for Academic Administration to fill teaching needs in specialized areas
- Recommending courses for transfer of credits
- Attending to needs of both teachers and students
- Participating in student development programmes
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
- Involvement in scholarly research
- Visionary leadership in areas that include, but are not limited to research and curriculum development
- Capable of working with Government and Non Governmental Organizations in the region and elsewhere
- Personable, discreet, highly motivated, and customer oriented
- Excellent communication skills
- Commitment to high spiritual, moral, and ethical standards of the University of the Southern Caribbean
