DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES - Assists in coordinating sporting clubs, training schedules, club trainers/coaches and the management of club activities.
- Works closely with the sports and Physical Education Coordinator in marketing all sporting activities on campus and the wider community
- Implements and evaluates fitness programmes
- Provides support for the development and execution of intramural and extramural sporting activities for the benefit of students
- Advises clientele in the evaluation of individual health and fitness and the establishment of fitness goals and objectives
QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE - Must be certified in Fitness Training and Sports Management from an accredited institution. However, individuals who are certified or has experience as an Aerobic Instructor and Personal Trainer will be considered
- At least three (3) to five (5) years of experience in fitness training, coaching, coordinating and executing a wide variety of sporting activities would be an asset
OTHER REQUIREMENTS - Ability to read, follow and enforce safety procedures
- Must have knowledge of basic medical emergency procedures
- Ability to work independently with little supervision
- Must be a Team Player
- Personable, discreet, highly motivated, and customer oriented
- Excellent communication skills
- Committed to high spiritual, moral and ethical standards of the University of the Southern Caribbean
