Assistant Professor in Mathematics

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Be able to teach courses in the required field
  • Serve as an academic advisor to a designated number of students
  • Be involved in scholarly research and service
  • The suitable candidate will be expected to develop a research agenda that is funded externally and to produce scholarly publications

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Candidates should have a terminal degree in Mathematics from an accredited University
  • Individuals with M.Sc. and M. Phil. degrees will be considered
  • Specialty in the area of Statistics and experience in teaching at the undergraduate level will be an asset

OTHER REQUIREMENTS

  • Personable, discreet, highly motivated, and customer oriented
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Committed to high spiritual, moral and ethical standards of the University of the Southern Caribbean
